Peace in the Midst of Wars and Rumors Devotional

Devotional Thought


We are constantly bombarded by headlines of global conflict, economic distress, and political division. It can feel like the world is unraveling. Yet, Jesus prepared us for these moments—not to alarm us, but to assure us. He said clearly, “See that ye be not troubled.”


In other words, don’t let what you hear trouble your heart. As believers, we are not without hope. Jesus is not surprised by the shaking. In fact, He told us it would happen. What He offers us is peace in the midst of chaos—not the kind the world gives, but His very own peace.


To walk in this peace, we must anchor our hearts in His Word, renew our minds with truth, and take our eyes off the storm. We are not to live in fear, but in faith, interceding for our world while resting in the sovereignty of our God.

Prayer


Father God,

Thank You that You are not the author of confusion, but the giver of peace. Though the world around me is unstable, You are my Rock and Refuge. Quiet every anxious thought in me and fill me with the peace that passes all understanding. Help me to trust You more deeply and stand boldly as a light in this dark hour.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
