You’re Chasing the Wrong Mystery
There is a growing curiosity in the body of Christ…
People want to know about fallen angels, giants, and hidden books of the Bible. Questions about the Book of Enoch have become more common, and while curiosity is not wrong, we have to ask ourselves something deeper:
What is this doing to my walk with God?
Because it’s possible to be deeply informed… and still spiritually immature.
Genesis 6 gives us a glimpse into a time of great corruption. It speaks of the “sons of God” and the “daughters of men,” and yes, there are mysteries there. The book of Enoch attempts to expand on those details, describing fallen angels, forbidden knowledge, and the rise of wickedness.
But here’s the truth…
God never called us to build our lives on what He did not fully reveal.
Scripture gives us what we need for life and godliness. When we begin to prioritize hidden things over revealed truth, we step into dangerous territory. Not because knowledge is evil—but because misaligned focus is.
The real issue in Genesis 6 was not just what angels may have done.
It was the condition of the human heart.
Wickedness had increased. Obedience had diminished. And humanity had drifted far from God.
That is still the warning today.
We don’t need deeper fascination—we need deeper transformation.
The enemy is not threatened by what you know. He is threatened by what you obey.
So instead of chasing every mystery…
Return to what God has already made clear.
Walk in obedience.
Pursue holiness.
Stay anchored in truth.
Because at the end of the day, it won’t be about what you uncovered…
It will be about how you lived.
🙏 PRAYER
Father,
Help me not to be distracted by things You have not called me to build my life on.
Give me a hunger for truth, obedience, and transformation.
Guard my heart from curiosity that leads me away from You.
Align me with Your Word and Your will.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
