Inheriting Wealth

There seems to be a misconception when it comes to wealth and the Christian.   Some people seem to think that a Christian should not live a wealthy lifestyle.  I do understand the reasoning behind some of it, but no it is not completely true.  God wants his people to be wealthy and He also wants us to pass the wealth down to the next generation.

The bibe says
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Matthew 19:29

First things first.  When we say wealth, the first thing many people think about is money and riches.  Wealth is so much more than money.   Wealth can be an abundance of any resource.  It could be land, or any other material thing.  I have a question.

How can anyone leave an inheritance to their grandchildren if they do not have it to give.  Notice the bible says a GOOD man.  We are not talking about someone who is scamming and cheating others out of their possessions. We are talking about someone who is helping their fellow neighbors.

The wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.  This is a wealth transfer.  We do not always know what good deeds peoples do for others.  I know that I don't publicize the things that I do.  They are between me and God.

Not only does The Lord want us to be wealthy and pass our wealth down, He said that He would give us the wealth that the sinner has laid up or put back for their offspring.  That sounds like a great wealth transfer.

Heavenly Father,  thank you for your Word.  Thank you for making your words clear to your people.  Thank you for the great transfer of wealth to your people.  You always have us on your mind.  There is no doubt.  You will supply our every need.  You will bless our bread and our water.   Amen
