Calming the Storm
Jeremiah 23:29 "Is not my word like fire," declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
Did you know that the words of the Lord will demolish strongholds? Yes, It is true. The Word tears down every stronghold. The fire of God burns up everything that is not like him. He is a consuming fire. The strongholds that I am referring to are satanic. Destruction and disaster, confusion, fighting, offence, set back and delay, sickness and disease to name a few are strongholds. These are works of wickedness.
We must remember that we do not fight our neighbor. People are not the problem. The problem is the spirit that is using their body to attack and bring mayhem. Do you ever wonder why some people always meet opposition. They are constantly under attack. They think that it is just life. Some even call it bad luck. It is so much more than that. Satan uses things, situation, and people to sidetrack us from our destiny.
When we realize where the true battle lies, we will be better equipped to fight. The Lord is our help. He is our strength. He is so much more stronger than our adversary. Our adversary is our opponent. He challenges our faith in God. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy us. He is an enemy of God. If he is an enemy of God, then he is also our enemy. He often tricks innocent people to believe that he has our best interest at heart. This is so far from the truth. He blinds the eyes to keep us from seeing the truth. Wake up from your slumber. Wake up from your sleep. While you were sleeping, the enemy was working hard to plant evil seeds in our hearts.
We have authority. We must take authority over our situation. We must take authority over our circumstances. We must learn to fight. Spiritual warfare is not for a select few in the kingdom. We face spiritual warfare constantly. The question is...Will you fight? When you decide to stand firm and fight the good fight of faith, the enemy is defeated. The Lord will fight our battles for us. Stand firm and fight. The enemy is already defeated. You must believe in your heart and profess with your mouth the enemy is already defeated. You not only have authority, but you also have power if you have been filled with the Holy Spirit. The Lord fights our battles. Use the Word of God to break down every stronghold.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for fighting our battles for us. Thank you for giving us everything that we need to prosper in this life. You have given us authority and power to defeat the enemy. The victory belongs to us. I pray that the consuming fire will burn everything that is not like you. Search us Lord. You are our consuming fire. Thank you Lord for removing every stronghold that is coming against us. Thank you for fighting our battles and protecting us from dangers seen and unseen. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
