Back to the Beginning

It was always God's intention for the world to be good. God is the creator of heaven and earth. In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth. Now the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:1,2

We can get so consumed with political issues, financial problems, health threats, and so many other things that plague the earth. We must remember that God is and has always been in control. He brought the whole world into being with merely a word. He spoke a command: Let there be.

Human beings were made in his likeness. This was not something that just happened. God had us in mind as He created us. He breathed His own life into us.

Genesis 1:31 tells us that "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." It was more than good. He saw that it was very good. As we ponder the issues of life, let us go back to the beginning for clarification. It all started in the book of Genesis.

God just is. There is no logic to the issue. Trusting God is trusting that He is. Everything started from Him. The world was created from nothing. He gave the world life.

God is able to bring life to your desolate and dark situation, just as He hovered over the dark and watery earth that was uninhabited. It was formless, but God stepped in and changed things. He brought order. On the first day, He spoke light into the atmosphere. Let there be light. Genesis 1:3

As a child of God, who was made in His image, you can also speak to your situation. Never accept lack and defeat. God rested on the seventh day only after He was satisfied with the results of days one through six.

Heavenly Father, thank you for being my creator. Thank you for knowing my thoughts, as well as my downfalls, but still loving and providing for me anyway. Thank you for the power of our words. You gave us the power to turn sitations around by speaking a word in Jesus Name. Thank you for breath and strength in our bodies. Continue to cover and keep us as we fight this battle for peace, healing, and breakthrough. You are an awesome God. Let your will be done throughout the Earth. Let there be light in our homes, light in our bodies, light on our jobs. Speak a Word. Let there be peace that passeth all understanding. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
